Vocal Music Council

Hello Vocal Colleagues!

Just a quick update for you to let you know what your Vocal Music Council is currently working on as we “fire up” the new CMEA website! The council is pleased to announce our Headlining Clinician for the 2019 CMEA Clinic/Conference is Rollo Dilworth! He will join us for an opening session on Wednesday night and will present four other sessions throughout the weekend, as well as a reading session. We are also pleased to announce Laura Farnell will be joining us as our Guest Clinician. She will be presenting three sessions and a reading session.

Your Vocal Music Council has listened to your requests and needs for sessions you would like to attend. We have tried our best and have extended invitations to ten other Colorado clinicians who will be presenting a wide array of topics. We will also have sessions presented by our Colorado Elementary All-State Choir clinicians and our Colorado All-State Jazz Choir clinicians.
As far as reading sessions, we have changed it up a bit for this upcoming clinic/conference. We think you will be pleased with the offerings. Andy Beck from Alfred Music will return for a couple of reading sessions, as well. The Vocal Council is excited about the nineteen choral performances that will occur throughout the conference weekend. Choirs from middle schools, high schools, colleges/universities, and community choirs are on the performance list. Performance groups and their directors will be listed in the next update!

Your Vocal Music Council wishes you a great start to your 2018-2019 school year, and we hope that you have the 2019 CMEA Clinic/Conference written down in your planner or on your mobile device calendar. More updates and information will come your way as we make our way closer to the conference weekend.
